Jonathan Lachman is a member of the PFM Strategic Consulting practice, providing operational and budgetary guidance to a diverse set of clients.

Since joining PFM, Mr. Lachman has provided analytical support for a consolidation analysis of local governmental functions in Nassau County (NY), assisted the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in the analysis of child welfare needs-based budget requests, and reviewed contracting practices for the City of Long Beach’s Public Works Department. He has also conducted operational assessments of four divisions within the State of Nebraska’s Department of Administrative Services and the City of Wilmington’s (DE) Transportation Division.

Prior to joining PFM, Mr. Lachman worked for the Preventive Defense Project, a Harvard-Stanford research collaboration. Mr. Lachman has also served as a legislative assistant at a Capitol Hill government relations firm and has been involved in neighborhood recovery efforts in New Orleans.

Mr. Lachman holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and received his bachelor's degree in History from Princeton University.
