Baltimore, MD Blue Ribbon Committee
PFM was retained by the City of Baltimore to support the activities of the Blue Ribbon Committee on Taxes & Fees appointed by Mayor Sheila Dixon. The Committee was charged with analyzing the City's tax structure, with particular emphasis on seeking alternatives for reduction of the highest property tax rate in the region. PFM supported the Committee in part by analyzing commercial property tax assessment policies and evaluating various tax incentives provided to commercial development projects.
